Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Dublin Bulletin website and related educational materials (collectively, the “Site”), operated by Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd (“Dublin Bulletin”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By visiting, browsing, or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Minimum age: the Site is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, you may use the Site only with the involvement and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
2. Educational Disclaimer
Dublin Bulletin provides practical, educational information about consumer technology and everyday digital skills. Content may include general explanations of device settings, cybersecurity basics, account hygiene, productivity workflows, and smart home awareness. The content is provided for informational purposes only.
Technology changes quickly. Guides may not reflect the latest operating system releases, vendor policy updates, or the exact layout of your specific device. You are responsible for verifying settings and decisions on your own devices, and for making changes that are appropriate for your circumstances.
We do not provide legal advice, financial advice, or professional cybersecurity incident response services. If you believe an account has been compromised, contact the relevant service provider and consider seeking qualified professional assistance.
3. Our Services
The Site offers learning resources such as guides and articles. We also provide a way to request workshops or learning sessions using an online form. We may update, improve, remove, or add content and features from time to time.
Any workshop request submitted via the Site is a request for information and planning. It does not create an automatic booking, and it does not guarantee availability. If we propose a session outline, dates, or format, the final details will be agreed separately by email or phone.
We may provide checklists, templates, or suggested routines. These are meant to be repeatable and device-agnostic where practical. Your results may vary based on device model, operating system version, network conditions, and third-party services you use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site in a lawful manner and in a way that does not harm the Site, its users, or Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd. In particular, you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, servers, or any connected system, or attempt to bypass security or authentication controls.
- Use the Site to distribute malware, phishing content, spam, or other harmful or deceptive material.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content using automated means in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the Site, or that bypasses access restrictions.
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any contact or workshop request form.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the Site, including attempting to disrupt availability via excessive requests or denial-of-service behaviour.
- Use the Site in a manner that violates applicable sanctions, export controls, or other restrictions that may apply in your jurisdiction.
We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or creating risk to the Site or other users.
5. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content (including text, graphics, design elements, educational frameworks, checklists, and compiled materials) are owned by Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. You may print or save reasonable excerpts for personal learning, provided you keep intact any notices and do not remove attribution.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, republish, sell, rent, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Site or its content without our prior written permission, except where such use is permitted by applicable law.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site may reference third-party products, operating systems, platforms, or services (for example, email providers, phone operating systems, cloud storage providers, or smart home ecosystems). Those third parties are not controlled by Dublin Bulletin.
If the Site includes links to third-party websites or resources, those links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for third-party content, terms, or privacy practices.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and availability.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. While we aim to keep content practical and current, we do not guarantee that any guidance will be complete, up to date, or suitable for every device or scenario.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site or any content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Site will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) €100.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your breach of these Terms; or (c) information you submit through the Site that is false, unlawful, or infringes the rights of another party.
10. Force Majeure
Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd will not be responsible for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet outages, telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, cloud service provider failures, acts of government, natural disasters, fire, flood, strikes, war, or public health emergencies.
11. International Use
The Site is intended for the Irish market. We make no representation that the Site or its content is appropriate or available for use in every jurisdiction. If you access the Site from outside Ireland, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dublin, Ireland, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
13. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us and provide a brief written description of the issue and the relief you are seeking. We will try to resolve disputes informally within 30 days of receiving your notice.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief where appropriate.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, attempted to interfere with Site security, or used the Site unlawfully. The following provisions will survive termination: Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd regarding your use of the Site, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications on the subject.
17. Assignment
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
18. No Waiver
If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so later. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Dublin Bulletin Education Ltd.
19. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, our practices, or legal requirements. Unless a different timeframe is required by law, changes will take effect 14 days after the updated Terms are posted on this page. The “Last Updated” date above indicates when these Terms were last revised.
20. Electronic Communications
By using the Site and contacting us electronically, you consent to receive communications from us electronically (for example, by email). You agree that electronic communications and notices satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
